July 4th - Part 1

Went to the Capitol Hill 4th of July Parade. Felt like a small town deal, fun nonetheless. We signed Caedmon up for Tball this summer (instructional for 4 year olds). So the Sports on the Hill organization walked in the parade...including Caedmon and Jessie!

Pics!

Another trip to Mt Vernon with the family.

Climbing the fence to see "Duke & Earl" the estate's bulls.

Exploring! Maybe George Washington played in the roots of this tree too!

Caedmon teaching his sister of God's creation.

Chatting with the little lambs.

Sporting the cool grandpa hat.

More baseball, Rolling Thunder and Elliot

Went to a Nationals baseball game this past week with our friend Mary. And the Nats actually won! Fun game to watch.

When my parents were coming into town, my mom wanted to know what Rolling Thunder was. Every Memorial Day, hundreds of motorcycle-riding Veterans come into town to remember those who have been killed in action or are prisoners of war or who are missing in action. There's this huge motorcycle (main Harleys) parade type thing through the city on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. We got a preview on Saturday in Chinatown on our way to lunch.

Here's what everyone has come to see.

CA Engs in DC

Here are the pics from my Dad's camera of our trip to the Nats game when they were in town.

Trying to get autographs before the game.

Sitting pretty before the first pitch.

Our mascot Screech walking on top of the dugout while Caedmon and I interact with the players before they take the field. (The kids on the field are the honorary "starting nine".)

At the American Indian Museum

Dim Sum with Elliot.

And a bonus visit...Ce Lam! And Korean food.
