Hotdog stand (something learned while homeschooling)...sold hotdog "meal deals" to friends on the block.

Uncle Scott and Aunt Lydia came to visit us in DC. While we did lots of fun stuff, eating crabs was one of the highlights.

Behind Home Plate

So we weren't planning on going to the game on Sat, but some generous friends gave us some great seats...BEHIND HOME PLATE. It was a rain-soaked 9 innings. We didn't get there until the 2nd. We lost 11-5 (though the Braves scored 5 of those runs in the top of the 9th).

Caedmon and I sat in the first row next to the Nats on-deck circle for quite a few innings. And here was our view.

We made friends with the batboy throughout the season. He hooked us up with Elijah Dukes' batting gloves after the game!

Headed out to the ballpark tonight and Wednesday to catch the Nationals play the Mets in two of the last three home games. Probably not taking any more photos unless we get on the scoreboard.

Family Vacation at Lake Gaston

We enjoyed some time away to vacation at Lake Gaston (on the NC and VA border) last week.

Unfortunately, we didn't get any pictures of the boat we rented for a day or the tubing fun that day.

But we did some swimming.

Some fishing. Caedmon's first fish.

And his first of two catfish catches.

And some relaxing.

Nats Picnic in the Park

Caedmon and I went to the Nationals Season Ticket Holders special event...Nats Picnic in the Park. No I don't have season tickets. But we got some off of Craigslist.
